Our Story
LightUpCamp was born under a starlit sky, deep in the solitude of the wilderness. Our founder, Alex, was a passionate solo camper. He loved the freedom and self-reliance of venturing into the backcountry alone, but he constantly struggled with finding reliable, affordable lighting. Existing camping lights were either bulky and expensive, or flimsy and unreliable, often failing at the most crucial moments – leaving him fumbling in the dark while setting up camp, cooking a late meal, or navigating trails after sunset.
One particularly challenging night, Zion national park Utah, Alex's cheap flashlight flickered and died. Staring into the inky blackness, he realized there had to be a better way. He envisioned a light that was as rugged and resilient as the solo camper themselves, a light that wouldn't break the bank, and wouldn't weigh them down. A light that would empower solo adventurers to confidently explore further, knowing they had dependable illumination to guide their way.
That night, under the vast expanse of stars, LightUpCamp was conceived.
